Lifecycle
The product development life cycle is the key to electronic design projects undertaken by Prosync. The Prosync lifecycle embodies working together to provide a solution to a particular requirement.
The overall objective of the Electronic Design Process is to produce hardware together with a complete drawing set from which prototypes and production version of equipment can be proven to meet the captured physical, functional and environmental requirements. The main stages of the development cycle illustrated on the right.
Requirements Management
Requirements are captured into a system specification, each requirement is individually identified by attributes which are used to assign information to each requirement, and are used to group the requirements in a way appropriate to that application. Various software tools are used to manage the development of this process.

High Level design
The high level system design apportions requirements between the engineering disciplines and identifies the high-level items from which the system will be built. A system design implementation description is prepared of all the high level decisions made up to this point in the lifecycle.
Detailed Design
The detailed design process captures electronics circuits involves sophisticated schematic capture tools which are translated into printed circuit boards, parts lists, wiring diagrams and assembly drawings together with any additional build info that will be required. These are supported by test procedures which will prove the correct functionality of all hardware designs. Analysis of the product reliability, thermal and power management is under taken at this stage.
Manufacture Prototype
Before committing to a full production run Prosync will have a number of working units made that can be used the check functionality and over all performance. Pre-environmental and environmental testing can be done at this stage if the customer requests.
Design Proving
The first off production hardware is subjected to a full inspection and bench test. Final requested environmental are done at this stage with any additional testing. Once the design has been proven it is prepared for manufacture.
